Description
This unique and entertaining hummingbird can only be found in northern Peru. Sadly they were hunted; but, now protected. They use their long fancy feathers to dance and flutter during their dashing courtship flight. Males display in leks (a group of about 6 males), competing for the females attention. He certainly caught mine.
