Description
This extremely handsome and showy hummingbird mainly forages high in the forest strata and can be seen hovering over clearings looking to add in some insects to his diet. Courting males display to females by fanning their tails to show off the white edges while swooping and diving. This species is very widespread and common; can be seen from Mexico to Bolivia.
